Featuring a glossy black color with a yellow insert, the chassis is also completely surrounded the perimeter of a soft rubber insert at the same time it improves grip and ensures durability and water resistance, since the Z710 answers in these fields to directives MIL-STD 810G and IP65 . The first special feature is the display, a 7-inch with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels with technology and QuadraClear LumiBond , the first that always ensures perfect readability thanks to dynamic values ​​of luminance and contrast that can reach very high levels and the second which allows the use of multi-touch not only with your fingers or with the digitizer pen but also with gloves.

Inside is a hardware platform consisting of a SoC Texas Instruments OMAP 4430 dual core processor ARM Cortex A9 1GHz processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16 GB of flash memory for data storage space that can be further expanded by using microSD memory cards. Upon completion we also find USB 2.0 host and client and audio jack for headphones, 5 megapixel rear camera, front camera 720p, and modules WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth , as well as a bar code scanner, integrated. Very interesting is the presence of two expansion ports that are used to connect to an external GPS sensor more powerful, when you mount the tablet in a vehicle prepared. Optionally you can also add a RFID reader and contactless Smart Card HD for a 3.5G module .
